Training for Test
Training must be conducted by specially qualified instructors. Sadly some schemes will use unqualified trainers for parts of their courses. CAM Rider only uses fully qualified instructors at all times!
The legally allowed ratio for CBT road ride and Direct Access instruction is 2 pupils to 1 instructor. CBT on site allows for up to 4 pupils to be taught in the classroom and on the training pad by 1 instructor.
It is considered best practice to ensure that all on road training, not matter at what time, is in a class size of no more than 2 pupils to one instructor. CAM Rider pioneered this and is proud to be amongst the leading voices in the UK and Europe to improve rider safety.
On road training must have radio communication from the instructor to the pupil and fluorescent tabards must be worn to show who is who.
Please note the CBT road ride must last for a minimum of 2 hours and all 500cc training must be carried out by a specially qualified DAS instructor.
Your instructor will take you though all the elements of the DSA practical test and make sure you have the skills and confidence to pass easily.
