Camrider has established Bury St Edmunds best located and most successful training site. Situated just a few minutes from the centre of Bury, this is a centre of excellence that has all the facilities and skills you could hope for. Now with the space to carry out CBT training seven days a week, we hope you will see why CAM Rider is the UK's leading training company.

CBT and Direct Access

CBT, Direct Access and advanced training courses are based from a huge new site at Rougham Airfield. There are clean warm classrooms, toilet and rest facilities and a training pad available seven days a week. We are very proud to be able to offer such good facilities and hope customers will see the difference that CAM Rider training gives in terms of investment in new motorcycles, great sites and instructors that have exceeded every DSA qualification possible.

Our lead Instructor Gary Glaister is is the new Boss of CAM Rider Bury St Edmunds. Gary has been a dedicated biker for his whole life and is also one of the highest qualified and most respected instructors in the region. Gary is routinely involved in the training of new instructors too and brings with him a wealth of experience as well as a patient and friendly manner. You should know that at CAM Rider, all our CBT and Direct Access instructors are dedicated professionals licensed by the DSA.

We know that Gary's friendly and patient manner, along with his professional and able team will welcome any new rider.

Our site has a huge training area to allow new riders to safely practice CBT and test maneuvers, before moving on to being introduced to road conditions. It does not matter how much experience you have had - we specialise in new and novice riders and you don't even need to know how many wheels a motorcycle has - we will look after you from day 1 in a friendly and professional way.

Loan motorcycles, mopeds and riding gear

Camrider utilises only the best new motorcycles, set up specifically for learner riders, and our instructors hold the highest qualifications possible. All hold full DSA accreditation and are MRTA approved. We do not use unlicensed instructors at any time! Camrider has been providing expert motorcycle training and lessons since 1977 and has built up an unrivaled reputation both in the skill and professionalism of our instructors and also in the exceptionally high degree of customer service. We know what it takes to make a safe and happy motorcyclist - and whether you are just looking for a CBT on a moped, or to pass Direct Access and ride a large bike, we have the course and the instructors to help you.

The Instructors and motorcycle lessons

All of the instructors; whether full or part time, joined CAM Rider with the aim of putting something back into motorcycling and with the hope of helping others to gain a similar enjoyment. All hold full DSA licenses to teach the elements you require. We do not use unqualified staff or assistant instructors.

Lessons are tailored to suit your needs and a proper lesson plan with key objectives and quantifiable assessment schemes are put in place from day 1. As we work seven days a week and have a team of dedicated professionals we are able to offer flexible learning that fits in with your working needs and home commitments.

Our Managing Director, Bern Adams, has over 20 years experience as a fully qualified instructor and is regularly consulted by the DSA and government on best practice in motorcycle rider training.

Finally - we have a large fully equipped site with all the modern facilities you would expect of a first class training scheme.
