2008 - New Motorcycle Test

As part of a move to bring motorcycle tests across European Countries in line with one another, the DSA are working to provide test centres that can deal with the ‘Off Road’ element that is due to be brought in by October 2008. The ‘Off Road’ element will include the U-Turn, Emergency Stop and a Swerve test. The location of the test centres is still to be finalized, but the DSA hope to provide an improved level of service as these sites will bring together not only Car and motorcycle tests but also Goods vehicles. The intention is that most candidates should need to travel no more than 20 miles, 30-45 minutes to reach the test centre.
