The Two counties motorshow went ahead on a sunny but windy day 29th June.

Camrider supported the work of the organisers by providing free trail lessons to members of the public. Over 150 people came through to see the trail section and many new riders took their first ever motorcycle lesson!

CHARITIES will share £20,000 raised from the show, sponsored by Newmarket-based insurance brokers The Davis Group and supported by the Cambridge Evening News.

The show has been staged for the past eight years at Newmarket's Rowley Mile Racecourse and gains in popularity each year.

More than 3,000 people attended this year's event, organised by the Lions Clubs of Ely, Newmarket and Cambridge.

The money will be shared between several local charities - some listed below.

Cheryll Clarke-Morgan, of Newmarket Lions, said:

"It was a great day and we were really pleased with the support we received".

The Charities:

Crossroads - Caring for Carers

A Crossroads service is about giving time - improving the lives of carers by giving them time to be themselves and have a break from their caring responsibilities. Our aim is to provide a reliable service, tailored to meet the individual needs of each carer and the person they are caring for. We have schemes in most parts of England and Wales, which provide a range of services to meet local needs.

Cambridge Cancer Help Centre
Aim to support people who have or have had cancer and their carers.
Also aim to provide a meeting place with a warm, friendly environment in which people with cancer, their families, friends and carers can meet each other, discover that they are not alone and give one another mutual support.
