Having used CAM Rider North London to pass my CBT’s for the last decade, I finally took the biannual advice provided and booked my Full Motorcycle Test.
I booked the four session course as I already had a CBT, and took to the bigger 650cc relatively quickly, going out on the roads within my first session as an experienced 125cc geared rider.
It became apparent that the heavier big with slightly larger turning circles was something that I needed to adapt to. At this stage, I requested to add a 5th session between MOD1 and MOD2 to ensure that I was fully comfortable on the bigger bike, which was accommodated for very easily by CAM Rider.
MOD1 training progressed nicely until the dreaded swerve! Richard’s patience and guidance ensured that I gained the confidence required to pass my MOD1 test on my first attempt.
This meant that the additional session could be used purely to focus on developing my riding on local roads, ready for the MOD2 session.
MOD2 came around and Richard guided me through the local roads, prior to our arrival at the test centre. We sat and ran through some on the “show me, tell me” questions, in prep for the start of the MOD2 test.
The test commenced, and the acquired training was now being assessed, through my ability to demonstrate just how great, it had proven to be!
Just 1 minor for a slight hesitation at a mini roundabout, and my Full A-Licence had been acquired!
Now for Richard, possibly one of the best providers of any type of training that I have received! He remained patient, clear and really does focus on improving your ability to ride safely, rather than just past a test!
Many laughs and a few signs of frustration from me were had along the way, Richard provided some sound advice on choices of motorcycle upgrades also.
I will return for advanced rider training in the future for sure!

Decided to re do my CBT with camrider Lee valley and it was a great experience. My instructor mark i believe his name, was very thorough even giving me tips for my full licence. Riding with camrider opened my eyes to just how little I knew due to a poor experience with a previous CBT instructor.

After a terrible CBT experience elsewhere, CAMRider completely changed everything for me. From their size-appropriate training pad to their top-quality bikes and equipment, everything is designed to make you feel safe, supported, and truly ready to ride.
CAMRider keeps groups small (max 2 students at a time), so you get real, focused time and attention instead of feeling like just another number who only gets 30 minutes to an hour of actual riding because you’re sharing the day with multiple other students. They genuinely care about getting you through safely and confidently on the first try, as long as they deem you capable to ride safely and independently.
One big difference: at CAMRider, you’re truly given time to learn and improve. You’re not rushed through element D (the on-pad training and maneuvers) with only 2–3 turns like at other schools; instead, Mark gave me proper time to build confidence and really nail each skill before moving on.
I’m 6’1″, and at other schools I was made to feel like my height was the problem — forced onto little Hondas, uncomfortable with my knees hitting the steering handles when turning, unstable, and blamed for struggling. They immediately recognised this before we even started and set me up on a Zontes 125M that fit my legs perfectly! The comfort and maneuverability completely transformed my confidence and skill, especially with the dreaded figure 8.
My instructor, Mark, was absolutely phenomenal. Instead of ignoring me or getting distracted, he paid close attention to every detail, answered every question I had, spotted mistakes, and helped me correct them clearly and supportively. His coaching style is personal, patient, and fully invested in each rider’s knowledge, skill, safety, and success.
If you want a CBT where you’re genuinely taught for a day rather than pushed through a money-making machine, and want instructors who actually care about making you a safe, confident rider, I cannot recommend CAMRider (and Mark) enough!

These guys are AMAZING!
They aim to train you past the point of which you’ll be tested and they are genuinely very supportive and fun.
They clearly Love what they do and what to help make people better riders.
I am very grateful for your patience, stern words at times (I can hear you in my head at times) and the laughs during downtime.
I look forward to seeing you again when I’m ready to do an advanced rider course.
Word to the wise.
Make sure you buy a Highway Code Handbook and read it, use it to go over day to day scenarios to go through.
Ride safe and best of luck to anyone using this to decide if you want to use CamRider Lee Valley to train you up. Trust the process and listen to Richard and Chris they know what they’re talking about.🍻 Cheers Gents

Fantastic CBT session from Mark. Clear and concise instruction that resulted in a confident ride in extremely hot conditions. Never a bad experience with CAMRider!
