- Loan helmet, jacket, gloves and waterproofs
- CBT & Cert
- Petrol & Insurance
- Module 1 & 2 tests included and pre-booked
What do I need?
- Good level of experience. You will have ridden geared motorcycles before and be happy with clutch, throttle and road riding.
- A UK Provisional driving licence or full car licence. We need to see the photocard.
- A Motorcycle theory test. Not needed for CBT or lessons but required 10 days before the Module 1 test.
- Sturdy unripped jeans/biker trousers, boots with ankle protection.
CBT
We start of with CBT both off road and on road elements in one day. The lessons for this course are dedicated to riders with existing experience to a good standard, so we will immediately look to get you onto the 600cc bikes as soon as possible.
Your initial CBT will be on a 125cc bike to comply with government regulations, but we will seek to get you as soon as practically possible onto a larger bike. Sometimes even for the CBT road ride.
Module 1 and 2 Tests
The next (2nd and 3rd) sessions will be dedicated to passing the Module 1 exam on a 600cc bike – as well as going through on-road skills that are needed to pass the Module 2 exam. The class sizes are very small and we are experts at recognising what you need – after all we have been providing training courses since 1977!
The 4th session will involve you going to the test centre to take your actual Module 1 exam. We will meet you at our training centre, prepare you fully for riding and for the test and go over the essentials needed for you to feel happy. The test lasts for approximately 25 minutes so we use the surrounding time to practice and train for the Module 2 exam that will be on your last session.
The course concludes in the 5th session with the actual Module 2 test. Again we meet you at our training centre and get you ready for what to expect on your test. The instructor will take you down to the test centre brushing up any last minute issues and get you settled in.
The examiner will take you out for approximately 45 to 50 minutes where they will be looking at lots of different aspects of your riding ability. At the end of the test and if you have been successful you will be fully qualified to ride a large motorbike!
