Camrider is an Approved Training Body licenced by the DVSA
Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)
CBT is a course of instruction and assessment for new riders wanting to ride a moped or geared motorcycle. It must be taken by any rider wanting to use a 50cc moped, or 125cc motorcycle before they get on the road using “L” plates.

Entry requirements:
a) UK provisional licence photocard
b) Minimum age: 16
What is included
- CBT certificate (DL196)
- Loan 50cc Moped or 125cc Motorcycle
- Petrol and insurance
- Loan helmet, gloves, jackets and waterproofs
- Expert instruction from DVSA qualified instructors
Full motorcycle test
Pass your full motorcycle test and ride a large cc motorcycle. Training is provided by our expert, DVSA qualified instructors and we provide a fully managed service including CBT, online theory practice, full DVSA training & the final practical tests.
Full Test
Entry requirements:
a) UK provisional licence photocard
b) Minimum ages:
24 years for “A” licence = Any cc any power
19 years for “A2” licence = Any cc max 47bhp power
c) A motorcycle theory test pass. You can start the course without this but will need a pass at least 10 days before your final tests

I recently completed a CBT training course at Camrider Diss and it was incredible , going into it having little to no geared bike experience to now having the knowledge and the muscle memory that feels as if I’ve been riding for years has blew my mind. The instructor I had (Darren) is an incredibly knowledgeable and supportive guy and really knows how to create a safe and engaging environment for learning. Had some great laughs between us 3 😂. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to learn and improve their riding skills! I will 100% be going back to do my further licenses in the future 💯 Thanks to Darren and Jonathan for a very enjoyable and memorable day!!

I completed my CBT last year and my DAS this year with Camrider in Diss, and both experiences were brilliant. All the instructors were friendly and knowledgeable, with a special mention to Alan and Jan, who helped me pass both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 on the first attempt. If you’re thinking about learning to ride, I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough!

Had the pleasure of doing my full motorbike license with Cam rider, from the CBT all the way up.
I attended CBT, with the intentions of going for a bike license at a later date. But the CBT training pushed me to want to do it sooner. Lone behold, within 10 minutes we had sat down and booked it.
Within a month, passed everything first time.
All the staff are friendly and amazing. If you want a good sense of humour, Jim likes to think he’s got that! 😂 all of the others, Tamsin, Alan, Jan, Steve are great also… just not as funny! ( sorry if I’ve missed anyone)
The bikes they provide, there’s a good variety and different styles to try out. They also have all of the gear, if you don’t have this.
I would 100% recommend if you’re thinking of going for a big bike license or even just for the basic CBT.

Just completed my (first) CBT at the age of 50 at Camrider Diss, and I can’t recommend these guys enough!
Very friendly atmosphere, making it easy to settle in quickly for the day. Martin my instructor) was excellent throughout the entire day: clear, straightforward instructions, allowing plenty of time and opportunities to ask, super on-site training plot and (despite the awful rainy weather) a really enjoyable road ride at the end of the course. Not to mention the plenty of laughters and the coffee/tea he was offering multiple times during the day!
If I was to go for a CBT training any other time I wouldn’t even think to go anywhere else!

Had my first training day for my full license today with Jan, shes a great instructor & made the day very simple, she explained things in a way that was easy to understand & put into practice. I was a bit skeptical of going from a 125 to a bigger bike on the first day but this was completely stress free. Highly recommend! : )
